TO:  Cathy Moody, Communications Staff, and Communications Supervisor
FROM: Euless Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association

Dear Cathy,

As a member of the City of Euless’ Department of 911 dispatchers, the Euless Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association would like to recognize you and all of your colleagues for your outstanding efforts during this past year.  Your contributions have assured the safety and welfare of all of the citizens of this great city.  It is because of your commitment to your responsibilities, your dedication to your associates and concerns for our citizens that makes you a member of an elite group.  All of your contributions plainly add to the many reasons that make Euless a great place to live and work.

As a 911 dispatcher you interact with the various departments of Public Safety for the City of Euless such as the Police, Fire, Paramedics and others as well.  You are the first point of contact with the public that may be experiencing an emergency or life-threatening event.  You must use your training as well as your experience to quickly analyze the situation to determine the severity and the necessary resources needed to adequately respond to the need.  It may be necessary for you to continue to interact with the citizen until the dispatched resources have responded to the incident so that you can reassure the caller that assistance is forthcoming.  Your active role in each and every incident makes a huge impact on the person receiving the assistance as well as the person or persons delivering the aide.  Your importance cannot be taken lightly.  You are as vital as any of the others that provide aide.  Whether it be on the scene or behind the scene, you are important to this city!

The Euless Police Academy Alumni Association members consider it a privilege to say thank you for a job well done.  It is fitting for us recognize you on this day to express our appreciation for all that you do and encourage you to continue with the same professionalism, which is essential to guarantee the best welfare of its citizens.  Thank you for all of your hard work.

With sincere appreciation,

Euless Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association
