Members of the ECPAAA provide an invaluable service to the Officers and the City of Euless by doing some of the jobs that normally would have to be handled by the officers.  This allows the officers to stay on the streets and protect the citizens and the city.  A few of the programs that we are involved in are listed below. We are also looking into other programs that may help the city. 

Taking the police vehicles to the Service Center for maintenance, and the Camera, Radio, and Radar Shops for more technical work.  Many times it takes about 2 hours to fix camera problems and it is about a 1 hour drive round trip.
 

The City of Euless owns a Speed Trailer and a Speed Counter.  The trailer is placed on various streets throughout the city.  The trailer displays the current speed of the vehicles that pass it.  This makes the drivers aware of their speed in an effort to get citizens to obey the speed limit which helps to ensure the safety of all motorists.  If the city wants to see the traffic flow and actual speeds of cars on a particular street, they use the Speed Counter.

Helping the records clerks file non confidential public records, answer the phone when clerks are out sick or on vacation.

Sorting pawn tickets, answering the phone when need, and passing on the messages to the appropriate people.

Each week our members volunteers to water the plants throughout the Police Department and the Courts Facility.

Crime Victims Assistance

We assist the Crime Victims Liaison with putting out brochures throughout the community and putting packets together for the police officers.

Taking film to be developed.  Picking up various items for the police department.  The Property Room is responsible for uniforms, office supplies and many other vital functions of the department.

Citizens on Patrol

We assist the police department by going on Patrol.  We have 2 vehicles that use to patrol.  Some of the things we have been called to assist on is blocking intersections for accidents, help locate missing children, handicap parking enforcement, junk vehicles, vacation watches, and many other functions.

Warrant Round Up

We make phone calls to people who have warrants for their arrest issued by The City of Euless.  This frees up officers and courts people.

 

PAL's Program

Each year the police department hosts two, one week summer camps for kids 9-12 years old.  The kids go ice skating, bowling, swimming, and play team building games.  The ECPAAA provides finical support and staff members.
